Pear Wako ITO has a special love for fruit and flowers. Here a single pear, with leaves still attached, appears to have been just picked, on ground that may be earth or field. The Print has a spontaneous quality with very good use of light and shade; the ripe fruit, lusciously rounded, is set off by the tangle of stems and leaves that surround it as if with a light and caring touch.
